Dr. L. McCoy
Bonjour!
I was born and raised in Cannes, in the French Riviera. I moved to the US after high school. I have a B.A in Psychology and a B.A in French, as well as a Masters in French and a Ph.D in Second Language Acquisition and Teaching (SLAT) from the University of Arizona.
During my Ph.D, I specialized in the acquisition of French morphosyntax, particularly tenses and moods (my dissertation focused on the subjunctive mood). I taught for 7 years at the College level and have taught all courses ranging from Beginners French to Intermediate French; I have also taught many times a French Grammar and Composition course for French majors/minors at the University of Arizona.
In my spare time, I like to spend time with my husband and our two amazing kids. We like to do things outdoors together, but we also enjoy watching a good movie or playing board games and video games together. I enjoy cooking and baking, although I am a better baker than I am a cook!
