Northern Arizona University Cultural & Academic Research Experience (CARE) is recruiting high school students for the Spring Program.  The CARE Program aims to increase the number of Native Americans and underrepresented students (low income, disabled, etc.) in Science, Technology, Engineering, Math and Medical (STEMM) fields by engaging high school students at an earlier age (15+) through culturally relevant training in Chemistry, Biology and Healthcare fields.  The Spring workshops are to allow students to gain perspective into different areas of STEM, learn from a professional in their field about what they do, and how they got to where they are now.  Every month is a new topic, with a different speaker, or multiple speakers.  Each workshop has a unique hands-on activity implemented with the speaker's topic.  Tenative Spring Workshop Schedule: Health Science on Thursday, February 5th - Environmental on Wednesday, March 5th - Health Science on Wednesday, April 9th - Materials Interfaces in Research & Application on Wednesday, May 7th.  Dates and topics are subject to change.  You can attend either virtually or in-person.  All events will be held on NAU campus from 5:00 - 8:00 pm.  Visit: nau.edu/chem-biochem/care for more information.
