    The Dorrance Scholarship Program is now accepting applications.  You are eligible to apply if 1) you are an Arizona resident. 2) A current graduating senior attending a public, private, charter or home school.  3) Will be a first-generation college student (neither parent, stepparent, or guardian holds a 4-year degree from any country) 4) Have a minimum cumulative 3.0 GPA (weighted or unweighted). 5) Have a minimum test score of: SAT 110, ACT 22 or CLT 72.  6) Demonstrates financial need. 7) Plans to attend ASU - Tempe, NAU - Flagstaff or UofA - Tucson.  8) Agree to live in on-campus housing during freshman and sophomore years.  The application deadline is 4:59 pm on Wednesday, February 5th.  For more information visit - https://dorrancescholarship.org/ or speak with your counselor.

    The HACE's El Futuro (The Future) High School Leadership Program is now accepting applications for their Spring Program.  This is a college and career development program for high school students in grades 11 and 12.  The program provides robust programming that helps students define career goals and develop post-secondary plans.  HACE partners with various organizations and companies to prepare El Futuro students for success in their lives.  For the Spring 2025 cohort season, the program will offer services to Hispanic and/or Latino/a/x/e high school students (Juniors and Seniors) in Arizona.  Application deadline is Friday, February 7th.   Click here to view their promo flyer

    Northern Arizona University Cultural & Academic Research Experience (CARE) is recruiting high school students for the Spring Program.  The CARE Program aims to increase the number of Native Americans and underrepresented students (low income, disabled, etc.) in Science, Technology, Engineering, Math and Medical (STEMM) fields by engaging high school students at an earlier age (15+) through culturally relevant training in Chemistry, Biology and Healthcare fields.  The Spring workshops are to allow students to gain perspective into different areas of STEM, learn from a professional in their field about what they do, and how they got to where they are now.  Every month is a new topic, with a different speaker, or multiple speakers.  Each workshop has a unique hands-on activity implemented with the speaker's topic.  Tenative Spring Workshop Schedule: Health Science on Thursday, February 5th - Environmental on Wednesday, March 5th - Health Science on Wednesday, April 9th - Materials Interfaces in Research & Application on Wednesday, May 7th.  Dates and topics are subject to change.  You can attend either virtually or in-person.  All events will be held on NAU campus from 5:00 - 8:00 pm.  Visit: nau.edu/chem-biochem/care for more information.

    The Arizona State University Joaquin Bustoz Math-Science Honors Program is now accepting applications for their summer Mathematics Program.  This is an intensive academic program that provides motivated students with an outstanding opportunity to begin university mathematics studies before graduating from high school.  The program is designed to provide a successful university experience for students who are underrepresented in the mathematics and science fields and to enhance their prospects for future academic success.  This program is for high school students in grades 10-12 and who are interested in STEM careers.  Experience college life firsthand at ASU.  Live at an on-campus student residence hall.  Earn 3 math college credits.  Start satisfying math prerequisites for STEM majors.  Learn about STEM majors and careers.  Receive valuable academic success tips and guidance on transitioning to college from current ASU students.  Meet like-minded students from across Arizona.  This program is located on the ASU Tempe campus and is from June 1st through July 11th, 2025.  Visit https://mcmsc.asu.edu/institutes.jbmshp to apply.  The application deadline is Tuesday, February 18, 2025.

    The SaddleBrooke Community Outreach Scholarship is now accepting applications.  This application is open to high school seniors living in Catalina, Oracle, and Mammoth.  Applications must be received by the SaddleBrooke Community Outreach office no later than Monday, February 24, 2025.  Visit https://community-outreach.org/scholarship-application-forms/ to access the application.

    The University of Arizona Eller College of Management Dhaliwal-Reidy School of Accountancy has teamed up with EY, an international public accounting firm, to provide students who are under-represented in college business classes with an opportunity to explore business careers, learn about UofA, and become involved in the Eller community.  The Business Careers Awareness Program (BCAP) participants will be ready to launch into college with confidence and connections.  Participants will take courses in accounting, marketing, ethics and business communications.  This is a one-week residential program that starts on Sunday, June 1, 2025 and is available to current high school juniors.  Costs are covered by EY.     The Oro Valley Chamber of Commerce Foundation's Mayor Engle Memorial Scholarship - a $1500 award, is available to students who are enrolled in, or are applying to an accredited undergraduate, graduate or vocational/trade school with a degree program in Arizona.  Recipients must be attending an Arizona college, university or vocational school in the upcoming (25-26) academic year.  Priority will be given to residents of Southern Arizona, in particular the greater Oro Valley area, including but not limited to Oro Valley, Marana, Oracle, San Manuel, unincorporated Pima County and Tucson.  Application deadline is Friday, March 21, 2025 at 5:00 pm.   Click Here for Application

  • Homeless or unaccompanied youth are eligible for aid.  Contact the district's McKinney-Vento Liason for the form you will need to document your status.  The National Association for the Education of Homeless Children and Youth publishes FAFSA Tips for Unaccompanied Youth that will answer many questions. 

     

    Students in Foster Care can establish an account for Foster Care to Success and get more information about scholarships available to them.

     

    Dreamer and DACA students may be eligible for some private scholarships and some schools have established guidelines regarding how these students are considered in regard to being classified as in-state students for tuition purposes.  Please check the university's or college's websites for specific information on each school.  A resource for you to check out is Scholarships a-z.  They work with Dreamer and DACA students and have a wealth of information for you.
