I have have been teaching at Ironwood Ridge since the 2008-09 school year, I have been teaching English 10 and both beginning and advanced journalism classes. I am also the adviser of the Iron Quill Student Newspaper.

It is my belief that students achieve their best in a safe, yet challenging environment. It is my goal to create this environment each day so my students feel comfortable taking academic risks and raising their individual, intellectual bar. I want each of my students to realize their potential and push themselves.

I truly love teaching at Ironwood Ridge High School. Making connections with people is very important to me, and I enjoy teaching and getting to know my students. The northwest community is a very special one, and it is my pleasure to teach in this warm, caring, and supportive environment that values education and supports children and their schools.

I am married and have two children. We have three very spoiled dogs: a Labradoodle named Pandora and two Goldendoodles named Loki and Nala. We live on Tucson's northwest side, and I love the fact that, on any day of the week, I can be out and about in town and see one of my students, current or former, and their family.
