• These courses are designed to help students develop the skills necessary for living and working as independently as is appropriate for each individual, both within in the community and at home. Alternate Academic Standards and Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) are used to create a unique curriculum that will benefit each student. Based on individual needs, students are taught skills necessary for supported or competitive employment, as well as functional academics and social skills that will help them participate in daily activities as independently as possible, within their respective environments.
